Welcome
Welcome to Uffculme Primary School
Our vision and aims are clear; we do everything with HEART, basing our work around equity and developing the whole child so they can mature into well-rounded adults and take a constructive place in society. We hope that the children’s time with us will be full of happy memories and that in later life, they will look back on their days at Uffculme as being amongst their happiest.
At Uffculme Primary School, we place great emphasis on knowing children as individuals and identifying their individual needs. We provide a safe and happy environment in which all children can reach their full potential. Our experienced, committed and dedicated team of teachers and support staff continually strive to provide the best quality of teaching and care to all our pupils so that each one can thrive and reach their full potential. We aim to deliver a creative, challenging and knowledge-rich curriculum across the whole school, ensuring there is a real equity of subject breadth.
The safety and well-being of our children is our utmost priority. We have a robust safeguarding policy in place to create a secure and nurturing environment. Our team is vigilant in maintaining a culture of safeguarding, ensuring that all children feel safe, supported, and able to focus on their learning. We work closely with parents and external agencies to uphold the highest standards of student welfare, addressing any concerns promptly and effectively.
Uffculme Primary School has a planned admission number (PAN) of 30. Each class is supported by a teaching assistant in the morning, with additional intervention and provision being delivered throughout the day. Careful tracking and monitoring of children’s progress by the school ensures that they continue to make the progress expected of them and skilful, quality-first teaching ensures that lessons are well matched to the variety of need in every class.
